Seoul

April 5th- 8th, Haruka and I went to Seoul. I mainly wanted to buy Korean makeup (don’t judge me), and Haruka wanted to go to the casino (hmm, don’t judge him either, haha). I went shopping, and he lost ~$400 on the first day and never returned to the casino. Something about how he had 19, the dealer had 14, and the dealer drew a 7.

Anyway, pictures!!

Shopping heaven!

I bought all this, and more. But, everything on the left is free samples!

Live octopodes!! No, we didn’t eat them.

Seoul City Hall. It’s very modern looking. So much so that some people complain it doesn’t fit in with the rest of the city’s architecture.

The Cheonggyecheon River.

Part of a mural depicting a parade of the royal family (if I recall correctly).

Further down the river.

The subway is safe! No jumping onto the tracks here. Now, if only people would learn how to stand in line, and wait for passengers to exit before trying to board.

Near the hotel. I took pictures so I could find my way back.

The view from N Seoul Tower.

Another view from the tower.

Hometown

Gah! It’s so close!

And where we met.

We are sitting on a “couple bench”, where “people fall into each other by design”.

Here’s what the bench looks like. Tricky tricky.

Where couples “lock their love”. No, we didn’t give in and buy a ridiculously overpriced padlock at the souvenir shop.
