Jill in Japan

Max Visits!!!

The first thing you have to do when visiting Japan is change into the proper attire. Just kidding. For a little over $100 each we walked around Kyoto Movie Park like this for a couple of hours. Many people wanted to take pictures. We were like celebrities!

Dusk at Kiyomizu Temple

Max taking a bite out of the Golden Pavilion.

Himeji Castle looking good with a fresh coat of paint.

Derp-face in Himeji Castle.

I’m a beautiful lady.

Samurai armor.

We went to Ishigaki Island!!!!!!!!!!

First stop: Banna Park.

Kabira Bay. we weren’t allowed to swim due to a strong tide T_T

That’s okay. We found Yonehara Beach.

Max is jumping for joy!

Sarah and Ariana are enjoying it too.

Haruka found a hermit crab. PS, this is his favorite t-shirt.

Ice cream after a long day of snorkeling.

We drove up to Banna Lookout on the way back to the apartment.

The next day we took a ferry to Iriomote Island.

This is Hoshizuna no Hama, a beach with star-shaped sand. Actually, it’s not sand. It’s the exoskeletons of a single-celled organism.

One of these is not like the others…
